Whatever ails you, friend, already a thread is there,
And if you thought of something, you've a place to share,
But if boredom is hitting more than ever,
You're welcome here, though shunned elsewhere!

Everything is fine, friends. I'm sure it just needs a bit more time to settle down. Maybe the problem is that I don't believe it fully even now. Some change is just hard like that. I'm fine, really.

Speak to for what? Stereotypes aren't important and don't have to be relied on.

Why are some people so petty do they enjoy self harm or something?

Anyway another wet dream today. Were deploying sports equipment with some dudes, then a very sexually appealing girl came around and… Not that this kind of dream surprises me anymore, but darn. Sometimes need to vent it.

Just don't ever catbox then. That thing is behind cloudflare bully, there's no way you can upload your file anonymously. It also needs a web browser. Command line though terminal wont do.
Here, use this instead https://p.fuwafuwa.moe/nojs.html

So, apparently I made this "Micro" text shell editor keybinding for my favorite programming language (FreeBASIC). Consider this as an early Xmas gift from me. It is my first time I've ever asked AI to help me write yaml configuration file and guess what, it's such a pain in the ass to get it done despite of Ai help. Do not uderestimate on how dumb Ai is when it come to writing a line of code. 97% of its generated code always doesn't work. Everything is so tiresome and in the end, I figure it out on how to fix the damn Ai generated codes.

Rename this file as freebasic.yaml and place this yaml file in ~/.config/micro/syntax/freebasic.yaml

How did you sleep last night, anon?

How many hours of sleep do you usually need? Did you have any dreams?

Do you ever have any recurring dreams?

I take magnesium to help me get to sleep before bed. Im curling up with some manga that I'll read until I get too sleepy to continue.

I've heard of magnetic storms, but don't really know much about them. Is it an issue that only really happens further up north??

 No.5890

>>5889
It's more of an issue the closer to the pole you are, apparently. And then it also depends on the severity of a particular storm — the worse the storm is the further it spreads. Yesterday, for example, it was level 7 out of possible 9, which doesn't happen that often.

Today I managed to fall asleep! I woke up like two hours before I should have but I feel a lot better than in the previous days.

Heyya,

there is a new iteration of /kind/ again! To celebrate it, its planed to stream some show again. This time, everyone here should vote on what will be streamed. The options are:

- Sōsō no Frieren - Laid-back, but also sad slice of life story about an elf-girl realising she will outlive every human around her.
- Scavengers Reign - SciFi animated show that follow survivors of a space ship wreck that now have to survive on an alien planet and adapt to its unique flora and fauna.
- Hilda - Bluehaired girl lives through various adventures vaguely inspired by Scandinavian lore. Very beautiful.

Just post which show should be watched and if possible also prefered timezone, to make planning a little bit easier.

The first streams should start this weekend so (2024-05-11/12). The exact time will be set on friday, for now its planed to stream each day for one hour.

Welcome back /kind/!

I just finished it, it was good, thank you for the recommendation.

 No.5765

I just finished Bambi. I think I saw the Disney film before, but I don't remember much. I expected silly talking animals and the book did have talking animals and I guess they were a bit silly, but it was also very gloomy with their constant worries about the hunters and poor Bambi barely had a single moment of happiness.

Ender's Game. The cover says they made a movie out of it but I don't remember it so it must have not been a big hit. It was a good read, nothing special but enjoyable. I really couldn't care about the siblings subplot but I enjoyed reading about how Ender won his games. The ending was a bit confusing why did they have all the queens on a single planet? even though later it was explicitly stated that they had queens on different planets? did they all evacuate or something?.

 No.5869

Tried reading The Book of the New Sun. Read 90% of The Shadow of the Torturer. Didn't understand 3/4 of the symbolism, didn't relate to the remaining 1/4, I think I won't continue it.

I desperately need some just-above-cheesy adventure with an above average quality of plot and characters. At this rate I might end up reading Harry Potter.

>It was so obvious that you were joking.

Some people obviously can't tell, lol.

 No.5850

>It was so obvious that you were joking. Every post with that lum image has been unserious.
It doesn't matter. The degree of irony in the oekaki post doesn't change the followup in any way, nor does ad absurdum work here, because even the 'joke' isn't so different from reality. You can take it ironically or unironically and the sum of the conversation stays exactly the same: anon tells anon to shut up.

>a place, in fact, where I can have this open conversation with you and not feel like everything I say will be used against me

Oh it will be. Distorted, rearranged, read selectively, and used to derail. Just like everywhere else.

>Some people obviously can't tell, lol.

Classy.

 No.5859

>>5850
>It doesn't matter
That's probably why friend takes issue with your posts. The actual reality of what he was trying to convey didn't matter to you. It was just an opportunity for you to make a series of assumptions based on a hasty generalization to push your own pet meta theory about the board. Personally, I wouldn't take issue with any of that besides the generalization, but I can see why the rest might annoy someone.
>anon tells anon to shut up
It's kind of odd how you go on to complain about distorting and rearranging words when this is how you've twisted what buddy actually said.
>used to derail
Just like how you used buddy's post to derail into the meta theory lecture you wanted to give. It turns into a meta-meta discussion, and now people want to cry foul.
>Just like everywhere else
Mountain out of a molehill, buddy. He actually gave you decent advice, but just in a slightly more coarse way than some would've given it. Ultimately, I like both of you and think you're good guys, so let's be good friends.

>Wapchan and most of its friendly chans have rules specifically prohibiting those intentionally unkind posts, but the question that gnaws at me is whether:
>a) anons who are on these chans are here because they (same as me) want a nice place without the ugly hateful things, or
>b) anons avoid posting those things here, because those things are prohibited, but also don't feel motivated to post anything else.

This worries me too. So I steer clear from online spaces now and I'm reluctant to post on wap even. The PPD count here is just low and I guess the types that want to hurl insults, slurs, and ramble about vaccines are turned off by slow boards. Then again, you never know what people are really like behind the scenes.

 No.5868

>>5867
Even at my lowest, when I was hurling insults, using slurs, and rambling about conspiracies, I still made time to relax and just discuss my hobbies on comfy boards. The kind of person who can only talk that way is probably incredibly rare and likely underage. Yeah, I think people are generally more multifaceted behind the scenes.
